The second Earth-resources satellite of the China-Brazil cooperation, CBERS-2 continued a long-running partnership that gave both countries their own remote-sensing capability and stands as one of the more durable examples of South-South collaboration in space. It shared the ride with the small Chuangxin-1 store-and-forward communications satellite.
