Chandrayaan-2

India's second lunar mission, a lunar orbiter carrying the Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover, entered lunar orbit on 20 August 2019. During the powered descent in September 2019 Vikram deviated from its intended trajectory at 2.1 km altitude and lost communication; a failure analysis committee attributed the crash to a software glitch. The orbiter kept operating after the lander was lost.
