INSAT-3DS

India's third INSAT-3D series meteorological satellite, funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences to augment INSAT-3D and INSAT-3DR in geosynchronous orbit.

INSAT-3DS carries a six-channel imager, a 19-channel atmospheric sounder, a data relay transponder for automatic weather and oceanographic reporting stations, and a search-and-rescue transponder.
