Success
FEB 10202303:48:00 UTCFirst successful SSLV orbital delivery, following the SSLV-D1 failure in August 2022 in which a sensor fault during second-stage separation switched the guidance system into open-loop mode, placing payloads in an unusable transatmospheric orbit. ISRO identified the root cause, modified the separation mechanism and fault-detection logic, and returned to the pad seven months later. D2 reached a 450 km circular orbit as planned, demonstrating that the corrective measures had worked.
