EOS-08

Third and final development flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle, India's rocket for small payloads, which placed the EOS-08 Earth observation satellite in a 475 km orbit. The flight completed the rocket's development project, after a 2022 debut that left its satellites in an unstable orbit and a successful second flight in 2023.

EOS-08 carried an infrared camera that images by day and night for fire and disaster monitoring, and an instrument that gauges ocean winds and flooding from navigation-satellite signals reflected off the surface.
