Israel's first commercial Earth-imaging satellite, built by Israel Aerospace Industries and operated by ImageSat International to sell roughly 1.8-metre panchromatic imagery on the open market, the kind of sharp-eyed remote sensing that had largely been a government preserve. It opened the EROS series and flew on a Start-1, a converted Topol ICBM, from Svobodny.
