USA-79

Delta II placed USA-79, the third of 19 Block IIA GPS satellites, into a transfer orbit, and the satellite raised itself to medium Earth orbit with its own apogee motor. It entered service on 27 March 1992 and was deactivated on 18 December 2009, against a design life of 7.5 years.
