FORMOSAT-2

FORMOSAT-2 (launched as ROCSAT-2) gave Taiwan its first high-resolution imaging satellite. Its sun-synchronous orbit was tuned so the spacecraft passed over the same ground every day, an unusually frequent revisit that made it well suited to disaster monitoring.
