EWS OD-1

Built by General Atomics for the U.S. Space Force, EWS OD-1 is the first Operational Demonstrator for a planned replacement of the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) fleet. Its 16-band multi-spectral payload - including an ultra-low-light day/night sensor - covers far more of the spectrum than the two-band sensors on heritage DMSP satellites.
