Naro
South Korean-Russian small-lift orbital rocket
South Korea's first orbital rocket reached orbit on its third attempt, 30 January 2013 — but it had a Russian first stage, making it a joint vehicle rather than a fully domestic one. Two earlier flights failed in 2009 and 2010. Naro's role was proved; Korea moved on to building Nuri entirely at home.
