Brazilian solid-fuel small-lift cancelled orbital rocket

Brazil's VLS-1 never reached orbit. The 2003 pad explosion during preparations at Alcântara killed 21 engineers and technicians and stopped the domestic launcher programme in its tracks. The pad has since been rebuilt for foreign operators.
