Vulcan

American methalox heavy-lift orbital rocket

Vulcan is ULA's replacement for both Atlas V and Delta IV Heavy — one modern rocket instead of two legacy ones. It flew its first four missions between January 2024 and February 2026, all successful on payload delivery, though a solid rocket booster malfunctioned on two of them. After the second, the Space Force paused its national security launches on Vulcan pending an investigation.
