German small-lift orbital rocket

Isar Aerospace's Spectrum made the first orbital launch attempt from mainland Western Europe, lifting off from Andøya in northern Norway in March 2025. A vent valve opened unexpectedly and the rocket lost control 18 seconds into flight. The second launch, "Onward and Upward," reached orbit in September 2026 and released five CubeSats.
